VOLLEYBALL AGILITY AND PERFORMANCE CAMP 

No athlete has ever been told “you jump too high" or "you're too fast on the court".

Whether it’s a basketball slam-dunk, a cornerback intercepting a ball or a volleyball spike or block, jumping is a key skill for any athlete.

Volleyball is one of the fastest growing and physically demanding sports in North Texas, and dominating the net requires more than relying just on practice, skill and positional training.

I can't be more excited to announce Dallas Underground Strength & Fitness is offering a performance camp specifically designed for Volleyball athletes in the North Dallas area.

Make these summer months YOUR game changer on the court - get quicker, jump higher, move faster, improve agility, and strengthen your knees and ankles to reduce injury. Our Volleyball Agility and Performance Training Camp will set you up to perform at your best on the court.

This high-level training is directed by former D1 VB athlete and current club/hs school coach Chrissy Richards, and is designed for athletes preparing to make the jump from middle school to high school, high school to college, or any athlete looking to take their game to the club level.

What You Can Expect for Your Athlete


  • Increase Speed and Agility focusing on Directional Movements on the court

  • Speed Development

  • Improve Ball Reaction Time

  • Change of Direction Drills (COD)

  • Improve Approach and Block Jumping and Reinforce Landing Techniques

  • Jump Training and Plyometrics

  • Ladder and Agility Hurdles

  • Band Resistance Training

MEET YOUR COACHES


Coach Chrissy

Chrissy Richards the Director for our Volleyball Program. A former D1 athlete, Chrissy is the perfect example of how hard work, dedication, and perseverance can pay off.

Chrissy grew up in Plano playing school and club volleyball. Interesting note, Chrissy played for Victory Volleyball Club from 2005-2007, both years having qualified for Junior Olympics. Chrissy graduated from Plano East Senior High, where she played varsity for 3 years, and was named first team All-District her junior and senior seasons, as well as being named to the All-State team her senior year.

After high school, Chrissy attended the University of Oklahoma, where she played volleyball all 4 years. She played primarily middle blocker, but trained and played outside and right side as well. Her team made it to the NCAA tournament 3 out of 4 years, including making it to the Sweet 16 her senior season, and was named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team all three years she was eligible.

She graduated from Oklahoma in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science, and is currently the varsity assistant coach at Episcopal School of Dallas, and coaches both 12's and 17's with Victory Volleyball Club.

 

Coach Tim

Tim recently completed his internship with Dallas Underground Strength and Fitness, and is our newest addition to the DUSF coaching staff. Tim received his degree in Exercise and Sports Science with a concentration in Health and Wellness Promotion for Clinical Populations from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.

Tim has a strong passion for teaching proper form and technique, and has a particular interest with corrective exercise techniques. 

Prior to Texas State, Tim attended Southlake High School and was a member of the Varsity Basketball team.
